Candy Boy

Yesterday I was invited to Paul's birthday party. Paul is the son of one of my good friends. He was turning four so his mother promised the works. Of course she followed through with a gargantuan jumper (very popular amongst the children of today), a car shaped pinata,  and a wonderful bar-b-que catered to the children - hot dogs and hamburgers!

As Paul was busily opening up his gifts, one of his young guests was engaged in some candy that he had dropped on the ground. It was quite interesting really because he seemed unaware of the birthday boy the whole time he was "collecting" his wares. The teenagers in the back also seem preoccupied with other engagements, as Paul dutifully opened his gifts one by one.
